Serranilla Bank is a partially submerged reef with small uninhabited islets in the western Caribbean Sea, about 350 kilometers northeast of Nicaragua and 280 kilometers southwest of Jamaica. A former atoll consisting mainly of a submerged carbonate platform, it is claimed by Colombia, Jamaica and the United States, and is currently administered by Colombia as part of the San Andres and Providencia department.
