Scimitar Glacier is a mountain glacier on the west and northwest slopes of Glacier Peak in Snohomish County, Washington, about 1.4 miles (2.3 km) long. Like every glacier on Glacier Peak it is retreating, having pulled back some 5,250 feet between 1850 and 1946 before advancing 1,738 feet during a cooler period that lasted until about 1980; during the Little Ice Age it was joined to the neighboring Kennedy Glacier to the north, a connection that no longer exists.
