Remarkable Rocks is a group of naturally sculptured granite boulders perched atop a granite dome at the western end of Kangaroo Island in South Australia, within Flinders Chase National Park. The dome itself emerged from volcanic activity roughly 200 million years ago, and wind and sea spray have since carved its granite into shapes that visitors have compared to monumental sculptures, standing some 200 feet above the sea below. Remarkable Rocks and the nearby Cape du Couedic have both been formally recognized as geological monuments by the Geological Society of Australia.
