Pythia's Oasis is a cold seep on the ocean floor about 80 kilometers off the coast of Newport, Oregon, marked by a focused stream of highly altered fluid roughly 9 degrees Celsius above the surrounding ocean's background temperature. Early results indicate the seep has sustained elevated flow rates for about 1,500 years.
