The Plaine Morte Glacier is a horizontal ice field at an elevation of about 2,750 meters in the Bernese Alps of Switzerland, lying in the canton of Bern above Lenk and reaching into the Valais above Crans-Montana. Covering roughly eight square kilometers below the peak of the Wildstrubel, it is one of the largest flat ice fields in the Alps, with its principal ice tongue known locally as the Rezligletscher. The glacier has been diminishing, and a meltwater lake has formed at its eastern base.
