Petermann Glacier is a large glacier in northwest Greenland, east of Nares Strait, connecting the Greenland ice sheet to the Arctic Ocean at about 81 degrees 10 minutes north latitude near Hans Island. The glacier and its fjord are named after the German cartographer August Heinrich Petermann.
