The Perry Sandhills are a dune field about 6 kilometers west of Wentworth, New South Wales, Australia, near where the Murray and Darling rivers meet. Covering roughly 160 hectares, the dunes have been built up over the past 40,000 years by wind erosion and continue to shift with the wind today. Because the sand is still moving, it periodically exposes fossils of prehistoric animals and evidence of Indigenous use of the area.
