Pedra Azul is a granite rock formation in the state of Espirito Santo in southeastern Brazil, straddling the municipalities of Domingos Martins and Vargem Alta. The formation reaches a height of 1,822 meters, while the highest point within the surrounding park, Pedra das Flores, rises to 1,909 meters. Pedra Azul, whose Portuguese name means Blue Stone, gives its name to Pedra Azul State Park, which was created in 1991 specifically to protect the granite dome and its surrounding forest. It is one of the notable granite monoliths of Brazil's Atlantic highlands, comparable in kind to the country's other well-known granite domes and peaks.
