The paleic surface, also spelled palaeic surface, is an erosion surface of gentle slopes found in South Norway. Parts of it continue eastward into the Sub-Cambrian peneplain and the Muddus plains and it is considered equivalent to the strandflat coastal plains of Norway; Hardangervidda, a particularly flat and elevated part of the paleic surface, formed at sea level during the Miocene.
