Norris Reef

Norris Reef is a reef lying close off the western shore of Bouvet Island, about 0.5 nautical miles southwest of Cape Circoncision, in the South Atlantic. It was first charted in 1898 by a German expedition under Carl Chun and recharted in December 1927 by a Norwegian expedition under Captain Harald Horntvedt, who named it for the British sealing captain George Norris, commander of the sealers Sprightly and Lively on a visit to Bouvet Island in 1825.
