Nioghalvfjerdsbræ, also known as the 79 N Glacier, is a large outlet glacier in King Frederick VIII Land in northeastern Greenland. It drains an area of about 103,314 square kilometers of the Greenland Ice Sheet, moving roughly 14.3 cubic kilometers of ice into the sea each year as measured in 1996. The glacier has two calving fronts where it meets the ocean, separated by Hovgaard Island. In July 2020 its northern offshoot, the Spalte Glacier, broke away and completely disintegrated.
