The New Zealand Subantarctic Islands are five southern island groups that together form a UNESCO World Heritage Site: the Antipodes Islands, Auckland Islands, Bounty Islands, Campbell Islands and Snares Islands. Most of the islands lie near the southeastern edge of the largely submerged continent of Zealandia, which separated from Australia between 60 and 85 million years ago and from Antarctica between 85 and 130 million years ago.
