The Nakatajima Sand Dunes lie on the Pacific coast at the southern edge of Hamamatsu in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. The dune field measures roughly 0.6 kilometres from north to south and about 4 kilometres from east to west, and it is counted among Japan's three largest dune areas alongside the Tottori Sand Dunes in Tottori Prefecture and the Kujukuri dunes in Chiba Prefecture.
