Mount Wudinna is a granite monolith on the Eyre Peninsula of South Australia, near the town of the same name, generally reckoned the second largest monolith in Australia after Uluru. Like other granite inselbergs of the region it formed as compressive stress within a buried granite body was released through uplift and erosion, exfoliating the rock in curved sheets that shed the surrounding softer material and left the dome exposed above the surrounding wheat and grazing country. The rock is a local landmark and lookout point, with walking tracks leading to its summit.
