Mount Malindang

Mount Malindang is a complex volcano in Misamis Occidental province on the Philippine island of Mindanao, and is the highest point in the province. Built up by repeated volcanic activity, some of it possibly historical, the range holds two calderas ringed by high rock walls, along with cinder cones, dome-shaped volcanic plugs, two sulfurous hot springs and a crater lake known as Lake Duminagat. Its amphitheater-shaped structures preserve extensive volcanic rock and carbonized wood within pyroclastic deposits, and the range as a whole is cut by numerous canyons and ravines. This entity documents Mount Malindang specifically as a geological formation, a multi-caldera complex volcano and the highest point of Misamis Occidental.
