Mount Guiting-Guiting is the highest mountain in Romblon province, rising on Sibuyan Island in the Philippines to an elevation of about 2,058 meters. Its steep slopes and jagged summit have given it a reputation as one of the most technically demanding mountains to climb in the country, and it ranks as the Philippines' 11th-most topographically prominent peak. Its name, in the local Romblomanon dialect, means jagged, describing its serrated profile. The mountain and its slopes were protected in 1996 as the Mount Guiting-Guiting Natural Park, part of a Sibuyan Island landscape whose high rate of endemic species has led some scientists to describe the island as a Galapagos of Asia.
