Mount Erongo is a granitic mountain in the Erongo Region of Namibia, northeast of Swakopmund, reaching 2,350 meters. It is a subvolcanic ring dike, the granite core of an old volcano left standing as a granitic intrusion once the surrounding rock eroded away, in the same genetic class as the nearby Brandberg Mountain, and rock samples from the site show a tourmaline feldspar quartz composition. It is the only place on Earth where the dung beetle species Versicorpus erongoensis is known to occur naturally.
