Miage Glacier is a debris-covered glacier on the southwest flank of the Mont Blanc massif in the upper Aosta Valley of northwestern Italy. Roughly 10 kilometers long and covering about 11 square kilometers, it is Italy's longest glacier and the largest debris-covered glacier in Europe, with rockfall and avalanche debris forming a continuous cover above about 2,400 meters that thickens to over a meter near the terminus. Miage Lake, a proglacial lake at its southern end known for spectacular ice cliffs and distinctively two-toned water, draws visitors to the site.
