La Pedriza is a granite massif on the southern slopes of the Sierra de Guadarrama in the Community of Madrid, Spain, and ranks among the largest granitic ranges in Europe. Geological weathering has carved its rock into a vast field of strangely rounded boulders, cliffs and outcrops spread across some 32 square kilometers within the Regional Park of the Manzanares River basin. The formation's maze of granite towers and boulder fields has made it one of the most popular rock climbing destinations in Spain, with close to a thousand recorded routes.
