Inner Hebrides

The Inner Hebrides are an archipelago off the west coast of Scotland, lying southeast of the Outer Hebrides, and include 35 inhabited islands and 44 uninhabited islands larger than 30 hectares, the largest being Skye, Mull and Islay. The group supports about 18,948 residents under a mild oceanic climate, with crofting, fishing, tourism and whisky production as leading activities. Terrain across the group ranges from mountainous to low lying.
