The Houtman Abrolhos is a chain of 122 islands and their associated coral reefs in the Indian Ocean, about 80 kilometers west of Geraldton off the coast of Western Australia. It holds the southernmost true coral reef system in the Indian Ocean and is one of the highest-latitude reef systems in the world.
