Gries Glacier is a mountain glacier in the Lepontine Alps, in the canton of Valais, Switzerland. As of 2005 it was about 5 kilometers long; its area shrank from 6.23 square kilometers in 1973 to 5.26 square kilometers by 2008, a decline of nearly 15 percent over 35 years.
