Grey Glacier is a mountain glacier in Chile's Southern Patagonian Ice Field, flowing south from the ice field just west of the Cordillera del Paine into a glacial lake, where it splits into two lobes at its terminus. As of a 1996 survey the glacier covered about 270 square kilometers and extended 28 kilometers in length, reaching up to 6 kilometers wide and over 30 meters high before dividing; it has been retreating overall, with a major calving event in November 2017 sending a large iceberg into Grey Lake. The glacier is a well known feature of Torres del Paine National Park, viewable from John Garner Pass on the Paine circuit or from the shore of Grey Lake, where its icebergs drift close to the water's edge.
