Gotchen Glacier

Gotchen Glacier lies on the south slopes of Mount Adams, a stratovolcano in the Gifford Pinchot National Forest in the U.S. state of Washington. The glacier descends from about 8,200 feet to a terminus near 7,400 feet, where an old terminal moraine and a proglacial lake exist. It has been in general retreat for over 100 years and lost 78 percent of its surface area between 1904 and 2006.
