Garni Gorge is a natural gorge in Armenia, about 23 kilometers east of Yerevan, carved by the Goght River just below the village of the same name. Its cliff walls display a dramatic run of well preserved basalt columns, a formation local guides call the Symphony of the Stones. The gorge is protected by law as a natural monument and sits near the first century Temple of Garni and the Geghard Monastery.
