The Desventuradas Islands are four small oceanic islands about 850 kilometers off the coast of Chile, northwest of Santiago in the Pacific Ocean, and are counted as part of Insular Chile. Their remoteness and difficulty of access mean no civilian community lives on them, though a detachment of the Chilean Navy is stationed on Isla San Felix, which also has the 2,000 meter Isla San Felix Airport.
