Corona Arch stands in a side canyon of the Colorado River near Moab, Utah, reached by a 1.5 mile trail from State Route 279, and was formerly known as Little Rainbow Bridge. Carved from the same sandstone as the nearby Pinto Arch and Bowtie Arch, it measures 140 feet across and 105 feet high at an elevation of 4,383 feet. The arch became widely known as a site for rope swinging from its span, a practice that ended after a fatal accident in 2013 led to a federal ban in 2015. In March 2025 the arch was used as the backdrop for a public lands advocacy display projecting messages opposing federal land sale policy, a reminder that the formation sits on land still managed for both recreation and conservation.
