Coe Glacier lies on the north slope of Mount Hood in the Cascade Range of Hood River County, Oregon, between about 10,500 and 6,400 feet (3,200 and 2,000 meters) in elevation, and is named for Henry C. Coe. Between 1907 and 2004 it lost 15 percent of its surface area and its terminus, now moraine and talus, retreated 390 meters; as of 2004 it covered about 296 acres (120 hectares).
