Chachani

Chachani is a volcanic group in southern Peru, about 22 kilometers northwest of the city of Arequipa, part of the Central Volcanic Zone of the Andes, reaching an elevation of about 6,057 meters. It consists of several lava domes and individual volcanic centers, including Nocarane, along with lava shields such as the Airport Domes, and a caldera lies beneath the complex. This entity documents Chachani specifically as a geological formation, a multi-domed volcanic complex overlooking Arequipa in the Peruvian Andes.
