Cenote X'ux Ha lies near the village of Tikuch in Mexico's Yucatan Peninsula, roughly 45 minutes from both Tulum and the colonial town of Valladolid, and forms part of the larger Sistema Sac Actun underwater cave network, one of the longest known flooded cave systems in the world. It is a karst cave cenote beneath a large limestone dome, its water reached by a set of built limestone and wooden stairs descending about 25 meters to a wooden platform, with an opening in the dome's ceiling letting in natural light that gives the water a bright blue color. Less visited than nearby tourist cenotes such as Suytun, it remains a comparatively quiet local swimming spot with no lifeguard on duty.
