Campbell Islands

The Campbell Islands, also known as Motu Ihupuku, are a subantarctic archipelago belonging to New Zealand, about 600 kilometers south of Stewart Island. The group covers 113 square kilometers and is centered on Campbell Island itself, along with smaller islets including Dent Island, Isle de Jeanette Marie, Folly Island, Jacquemart Island and Monowai Island. The islands were gazetted as a nature reserve in 1954 and form part of the New Zealand Subantarctic Islands, recognized together as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
