Bukit Tabur is a quartz ridge northeast of Kuala Lumpur in Selangor, Malaysia, forming part of the Klang Gates Quartz Ridge, a roughly fourteen kilometer long vein of quartz intruded into the surrounding rock and later exposed by erosion, reputed to be the longest quartz ridge formation in the world. Its highest point, known as Bukit Tabur Extreme, reaches about 396 meters, and the exposed white quartz gives the ridge a distinctive pale color against the surrounding rainforest. The ridge and its Hulu Gombak forest surroundings shelter a number of plant species found nowhere else, along with the serow, a rare mountain goat-antelope.
