The Bode Gorge, known in German as the Bodetal, is a roughly ten-kilometer ravine forming part of the Bode river valley between Treseburg and Thale in the Harz Mountains of central Germany. The River Bode has cut deeply into the hard Ramberg granite bedrock, carving a gorge about 140 meters deep near Treseburg and around 280 meters deep at Thale. It was designated a nature reserve in 1937 and today covers nearly 474 hectares, making it one of the largest nature reserves in Saxony-Anhalt.
