Bitter Spring Valley is a 13 mile (21 kilometer) long valley basin in Clark County, Nevada, running northeast of Las Vegas along the north trending Overton Arm on the west edge of Lake Mead. About 7 miles (11 kilometers) wide, it is bordered by the Muddy Mountains and the Black Mountains, contains Muddy Peak at 5,363 feet, and is drained by Bitter Spring Wash; the communities of Echo Bay, Overton Beach, Overton, and the Callville Bay Resort and Marina lie along its margins.
