The Biak Islands, also known as the Biak Archipelago, are an island group of Papua province in eastern Indonesia, lying in Cenderawasih Bay about 50 kilometers off the northwestern coast of New Guinea. The group consists of the main islands of Biak, Supiori and Numfor along with numerous smaller islands, most covered in rain forest, and the archipelago has a population of about 130,000.
