Beracah is a valley on the road between Hebron and Jerusalem. According to the Second Book of Chronicles, King Jehoshaphat of Judah named it the Valley of Blessing after his army spent three days gathering gold, silver and jewels left behind when the invading forces of Moab and Ammon destroyed each other before battle could be joined. The name Beracah comes from the Hebrew word for blessing, berakhah.
