Bektauata is a granite mountain range in Aktogay District, Karaganda Region, Kazakhstan, at the southern end of the Kazakh Uplands and less than 70 kilometers south of Balkhash City. Its granite formed during the Carboniferous period through Alpine orogeny, and its highest summit, Bektauata Peak, reaches 1,213 meters, with the range extending roughly 15 kilometers from northeast to southwest and 11 kilometers from northwest to southeast. The range holds rock formations, caves and rock pools, including a cave 48 meters long, and is protected within the Bektauata State Zoological Nature Sanctuary. An early Iron Age archaeological site tied to the Tasmola culture has also been found there.
