The Beit She'an Valley is a valley in Israel that lies within the Beit She'an rift, part of the Afro-Syrian Rift, or Jordan Rift Valley, forming a middle segment of the Jordan Valley that opens westward into the Harod Valley. It is bounded by the Mount Gilboa range to the southwest, the Jordan River to the east, Nahal Tavor to the north, and the lower Wadi el Maleh to the south, and takes its name from the ancient city of Beit She'an. The valley is abundant in springs, and its regional council was rebranded the Emek HaMaayanot, or Valley of Springs, Regional Council to reflect that; it contains the Beit She'an National Park in its northern part.
