Bath Stone is an oolitic limestone of calcium carbonate granules from the Great Oolite Group of the Middle Jurassic, historically mined underground at Combe Down and Bathampton Down in Somerset, England. Its honey color gives the World Heritage city of Bath its distinctive look, and it was also used to build the Royal Crescent in Bath, Bristol Cathedral, Lancaster House in London and Reading railway station.
