The Baltoro Glacier is a glacier in the Shigar District of Gilgit-Baltistan, in the Pakistan-administered part of Kashmir. About 63 kilometers long and set within the Karakoram range, it is surrounded by extraordinary peaks, including K2, the second-highest mountain on Earth at 8,611 meters, along with three further summits above 8,000 meters within a 20-kilometer radius.
