Aspros Volakas, Greek for white rock, is a large pale rock off the coast of Crete near Lambi in the Rethymno regional unit, close to the beach known as Long Beach. The surrounding waters are shallow enough that the rock is formally classed as a cape, and it is uninhabited. A second, darker formation nearby, called Mavros Volakas or black rock, sits further east along the same stretch of coast. The source consulted gives no further detail on its geological composition beyond its pale color.
