Antelope Reef is a small reef in the South China Sea, part of the Crescent Group within the Paracel Islands, lying roughly 162 nautical miles from Sanya on China's Hainan Island. Like the other reefs of the Crescent Group it is a low lying coral formation built up from marine sediment and reef growth rather than exposed continental rock, and it takes its English name from HMS Antelope, a Bombay Marine vessel that surveyed the area in 1808.
