Amherst Glacier is a glacier about 4 miles (6.4 kilometers) long in the U.S. state of Alaska. It trends northwest toward a lake, 5.5 miles (8.9 kilometers) northeast of Point Pakenham and 52 miles (84 kilometers) southwest of Valdez. The glacier was named for Amherst College in Amherst, Massachusetts, by members of the 1899 Harriman Alaska Expedition.
