The Amargosa Valley carries the Amargosa River south through Nye County in southwestern Nevada and into Inyo County, California. Its southern end is also known as the Amargosa River Valley or the Tecopa Valley; the valley runs from around Beatty, Nevada in the north to Tecopa, California in the south, where the river enters the Amargosa Canyon.
