The Alor Archipelago is part of Indonesia, located in the eastern Lesser Sunda Islands, with Alor as its largest island at the archipelago's eastern end and Pantar as its second largest, situated between Alor and Lembata. Smaller islands in the group include Pura, Buaya, Ternate, Tereweng, Kangge, Rusa, Kambing and Sika. Administratively the archipelago forms its own regency within the province of East Nusa Tenggara, divided into seventeen districts and 158 villages, with a 2020 census population of 211,872.
