Volcanic Formations

Copiapo, also known as Azufre, is a stratovolcano in the Atacama Region of Chile, standing in the vicinity of Ojos del Salado and separating the two portions into which Nevado Tres Cruces National Park is divided. An Inca platform survives at its summit. This entity documents Copiapo specifically as a geological formation, a stratovolcano carrying Inca ceremonial remains near Ojos del Salado.
