Oceanic Basin

Structural and Tectonic Formations

In hydrology, an oceanic basin, or ocean basin, is any part of the surface of the Earth that is covered by seawater. Geologically, most of these basins are large depressions in the crust that sit below sea level, forming the structural floor on which the oceans rest.
