All Coastal Dunes

Sand dunes of the shore, built by wind from beach sand along sea, bay and lake coasts, including migrating and drifting dunes that creep inland and the older, vegetated dunes that anchor a coastline against storms. Coastal dunes hold their own plants and animals and often shelter a coast from flooding. A dune belongs here when its cited article places it on a coast, beach or shoreline. Each member is placed by what its own article says it is, never by its name alone.
