Native Element Minerals

Minerals composed of a single chemical element in its native, uncombined crystalline form, following the Nickel-Strunz native element class. Includes diamond, a crystalline allotrope of pure carbon. Belongs here: any mineral that is one element with no compound bonding to another element. Does not belong here: a mineral formed as a compound of two or more elements, which is every other class in this tree. This class holds one live entity today; further native elements such as gold, silver or sulfur have a real home waiting here as later mint waves add them.
