All Granite Domes and Bornhardts

This group collects the Inselbergs and Crystalline Monoliths subcategory's members whose own description names them as a bornhardt, a dome-shaped or exfoliation dome, or an inselberg in the classic rounded-dome sense, from Uluru and Half Dome to smaller domes such as Enchanted Rock and North Dome, Yosemite. Bornhardts and exfoliation domes are the textbook inselberg landform, an isolated dome of crystalline rock left standing as the softer rock around it weathers away, exposed by sheet after sheet of rock peeling from the surface in a process called exfoliation.
